Peregian Beach Commercial Project

This architect designed two level commercial building incorporates large retail spaces downstairs where Precision Doors & Windows fabricated and installed large bifold doors, fixed glazing and clear glass louvres. One of the upstairs areas was designated residential and had a requirement that included custom aluminium blade operable sliding shutters in order to provide a privacy and weather screen when required, as well as bifold doors and louvre banks included for a very open plan yet private balcony area facing north east on to the village square.

At the same time the western facing upstairs area was finished with large louvre banks and fixed glass. All due west facing glass was upgraded to low energy rated grey which will keep this space upstairs cool in the hot late afternoon sun.

So although a mix of joinery, this installation involved maximum water protection with the highest quality commercial glazing frames. Sub heads and sub sills were bedded on Sikaflex sealant providing exceptional weather and rain protection in what can be a very wet region in the summer with high rain totals in a short space of time.
