The owners of this home provided a clear brief that they wanted the very best aluminium bifold doors and Centor Se1 retractable insect screens, plus they had a special requirement for airflow whilst away. Accordingly, we coupled our architectural aluminium bifold system to a double architectural grade louvre window bank complete with ‘Secure View’ woven 316 marine grade stainless mesh security screens to the outside.

The powdercoat colour took some time to be decided on, however together with the client Precision Doors & Windows took the time to make sure the correct silver match and finish was achieved. The Centor SE 1 screen frame was matched, and special frame adaptations were designed so that the screen, bifold and louvre panels were seamlessly working together to achieve a fantastic result.

Water ingress had been a problem with the old doors so special care had to be taken to cut back the damaged floor boards on the inside then marry them to the new screen sill. On the exterior we had our concrete cutting boys cut a straight line in order to allow for a grated drain and a rebated bifold door sill. The result was exceptional with the highest quality architectural products and components in position now for a very long time.
